Engr. Charleston Torres has been a telecom engineer with the Company soon after obtaining his professional license as Electronic Communications Engineer (ECE). By the way, he was a consistently outstanding achiever from primary to secondary grade, and to college.

At the outset of his engagement with the Company, it was observed for a brief period of about 3 to 4 months, that his work discipline and performance can be equated to no less than a seasoned professional engineer 15 years his senior. It was a remarkable feat that thrust him to become the Regional Telecom Supervisor for a number of Telecom Teams in Mindanao that under his watch had delivered projects consistently within Clients’ timelines,standards, and specifications.

Ten months thereafter in 2019 with the growing telecom project teams in the Visayas region, and in Luzon, and with the nagging management concern to hold down the Company’s bulging operational cost in telecom, he was pulled out from Mindanao to Manila to head the Company’s Telecom Department then becoming its Project Manager.

With his proven leadership, innate ability to guide and motivate telecom teams, adept at problem-solving and decision-making, as well as, keen sense of time management, the 2022 board has decided that Engr. Torres is the perfect man to be at the helm of its Telecom Business Unit.

As the Business Unit Director tasked to manage not only the Company’s financial and manpower resources, the affairs in dealing directly with Clients’ project managers, and implementors, but most importantly the business of generating additional project undertakings, for that brief period he has turned his business unit the major funder of the Company’s expanding business venture.

In response to the expected boom of telecom projects coming from the private and public sector, the Company President has strategized early this year, and primarily on account of her requirement for a competent executive, she has decided to move Engr. Torres to the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO) with the combined dual role of chief executive and manager. Basically for he to design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures, set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, implement policies to promote company culture and vision, as well as, oversee operationsto keep the business on track.

With this recently calculated management development within the Company, Richworld is certainly in good hands for years to come.
